Hi there!! For all those that don't know me.... I am the new Ghillie on Aboyne Castle beat on the river Dee.
My life revolves around fly fishing, having come from the Grimersta estate on the Isle of Lewis I spend my salmon fishing season in Scotland whilst in the off season set off travelling, with an aim to fish as many of the top fly fishing destinations in the world! Big River!!
With heavy rain in the hills the Dee has risen fiercely! Certainly the highest I have ever seen it! Unusual mild weather for February, let's see how the upper Dee performs this March!!
